Bible Journey — ‘Education that Moves’

Sunday School — Preschool–5th Grade

Preschool through 5th Grades participate in a Rotation model of Sunday School.  The same story is taught for three to five weeks (a rotation).  Students rotate/journey through different workshops and focus on that rotation’s Bible story in a different way each week.  Teachers teach the same lesson each week of the rotation to a different age group.  Shepherds stay with the same class for the entire rotation, providing continuity from week to week, taking attendance, and getting to know the kids.  Teachers sign up to teach the workshops that match their own skills or interest.  Workshops begin promptly at 9:00 am each Sunday and end with a closing time of music and prayer for all students at 10:15 am.

We welcome anyone who would like to be involved in any way.  If teaching isn’t your forte, that’s alright. There are many other ways to be involved.  Speak with Dawn Aalgaard if you’d like more information.  We’d love to have you.

Middle School — Grades 6, 7, and 8th

Meets in the Youth Room at 9:00 am Sunday mornings.  This group is comprised of Confirmation age students led by a parent each Sunday morning.  Their study builds upon lessons that are conducted during their weekly confirmation class taught by Pastor Aalgaard.

High School — Grades 9–12th

Our High School group is led by Capri Neely.  Their active discussions encourage personal thought and biblical relations to everyday life situations.

Adult Education

Betty Anderson leads this Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.  This year the group is focusing on the ‘Augsburg Adult Bible Study’ materials.  This is a ‘come as you are—no prior knowledge necessary’ group.  The welcoming and relaxed atmosphere is the magnet that allows this group to continue to grow in size and enthusiasm.  All are welcome to come!

Book Study

This is a ‘book study’ group that meets at 4:00 pm on Wednesday’s.  The group is currently studying ‘Purpose Driven Life’ by Rick Warren.  Betty Anderson is leading this diverse group through the study.
